The opening ceremony of the academic year 2018-2019 was held in Zhongshan Square on September 25th. The QNU party secretary Zhu Shize, president Qu Guangqing, teachers’ representatives and all the freshmen attended the ceremony. President Qu made a keynote speech entitled Don't Squander Your Youth but Soar Like an Egret and expressed the sincere congratulation and warm welcome on behalf of the university for the freshmen, which include 4269 undergraduate students, 39 graduate students, and 19 oversea students.
