The reply from Dr. Chen expressed appreciation for Quanzhou Normal University 's achievements and encouraged the future development of the QNU. As was said in the letter, led by the new leadership, QNU made brilliant and hard-won achievements in its education and administration in 2018, especially in winning the National Teaching Achievement Award for the first time, being the only university in Fujian Province listed as the Outstanding Traditional Chinese Culture Inheritance Base, and being selected as the "Double tops" Construction University in Fujian Province.
