Data Science and Big Data Technology Major is a new academic major that was applied for by the School of Maths and Computer Science in 2018. It aims at equipping the students with relevant academic knowledge like data structure, computational intelligence, data processing, programming, and big data analysis. It also aims to cultivate students who can propel the further application of the Internet plus, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and big data technology in all areas. It emphasizes the cultivation of high-qualified inter-disciplinary talents who possess strong practical spirit and innovation ability, intercultural communication ability and interdisciplinary research ability.
