Recently, Fujian Science and Technology Department announced both lists of Provincial Scientific and Technological Achievements Industrialization Bases and Industry-University-Research Cooperation Demonstration Bases in 2019. The School of Chemical Engineering and Material owns five provincial science and technology innovation platforms, such as Fujian environmental protection functional shoes materials engineering research center, Fujian textile chemical green process engineering technology research center, Fujian textile chemical clean production industry technology development base, etc. It serves petrochemical industry, apparel and footwear, new materials, marine and environmental protection, fine chemical industry, and so on. In the school there are 9 research teams led by national experts appointed by Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, Minjiang scholars and other outstanding talents specializing in 9 fields such as functional polymer materials, membrane separation and water treatment, energy saving and emission reduction technology, and special fine chemicals.
