On December 2nd, the unveiling ceremony of the Academician Workstation of Quanzhou Normal University was held in Qiu Tiansheng Laboratory Block. Among those present were Chen Yong (academician of International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, president of Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology, and chief scientist of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion of Chinese Academy of Sciences), Zeng Nengjian (Party secretary & vice president of Fujian Association for Science and Technology), Luo Shaming (vice president of Quanzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of Quanzhou Association for Science and Technology), Zhu Shize (Party secretary of QNU), Qu Guangqing (president of QNU), Yang Xiaoxiang (vice president of QNU), and representatives from relevant provincial and municipal departments and enterprises. 相关阅读

In his speech, Chen Yong expressed the intention to set up mechanisms for scientific research and cooperation with QNU. The academician workstation will provide wider applications of research outputs in such fields as 'waste-free city', resource utilization of urban and rural mines, rural environmental management, soil remediation, etc. The workstation will also try its best to forge a high-level innovation platform to boost the scientific research of QNU and the high-quality development of Quanzhou’s economy. 对照阅读
