On behalf of the university, Chen Changping extended a sincere welcome to Chen Mengli. He introduced the general situation of Quanzhou City, the school-running conditions of QNU, as well as its achievements made in conducting Chinese language education for the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries. He expressed the hope that relying on QNU's profound accumulation in language and cultural promotion, cooperation between the two universities would be launched to jointly provide support for Chinese language learning and cultural exchanges in Nagain the future. Chen Mengli introduced the profile of Ateneo de Naga University, as well as the current status and needs of Chinese language learning in the Philippines. At the meeting, Chen Changping and Chen Mengli, on behalf of both parties, signed a cooperation memorandum and reached a preliminary agreement on jointly establishing a Confucius Institute. During the visit, Chen Mengli conducted a visit to the Cultural Relics Museum of Ancient Pottery, the Silk Road Language and Culture Research Center, and the School of Literature and Communicationin our university .
