Sister- in-lows’ Tower 姑嫂塔 

 It was built of stone, hollow in the center, octagonal ,pavilion styled, five storied in profile but four in reality. It has been not only used as a navigation sign in history but as an observation tower where the local people looked forward to the coming of their relatives from abroad. It is now a relic put under provincial safe-guard.

The Museum is composed of “The Exhibition Hall for the Ancient Shipwreck Excavated from Quanzhou Bay” established inside the Kaiyuan Temple and the other three exhibition halls inside the Museum for Overseas Communications History situated in Donghu Street—“The Exhibition Hall for Religious Stone Carvings in Quanzhou”, The Exhibition Hall of Quanzhou and Ancient Overseas Communications” and “The Exhibition Hall for Ancient Ship Models”.
